Skipper & Owner – Glenn Toms
From Shoreline Roots to Offshore Excellence!

Glenn Toms is a highly experienced charter skipper with a lifelong connection to the waters of the Solent. Raised just a mile from Lepe Beach, he grew up immersed in boating and fishing, with the Solent, Isle of Wight, Christchurch Bay, Poole, and Weymouth as his natural playground. This early exposure fostered a passion for the sea that has evolved into a professional career in sport fishing and chartering.

With years of experience and dedication, Glenn has developed the expertise required to run successful fishing charters, continually advancing his knowledge of modern fishing techniques and technology to deliver exceptional results. Every trip is carefully planned to ensure guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and rewarding experience on the water.

Chartering is very much a family tradition. Glenn’s father, Rod Toms, a lifelong mentor and partner, passed down invaluable skills and knowledge. His son, Harrison, achieved his Day Skipper qualification at just 16 and has spent several years working in the CHART fishery for Bluefin Tuna. His brother Dale and sister-in-law Rachel also operate a luxury sailing catamaran – Big Cat Boat Charters, offering pleasure cruises — with the two businesses combining to create unique joint packages for guests who want the best of both worlds.

Glenn now operates from Lymington Quay at the helm of Raptor — a deep-V, limited edition Redfin 10000 sports fisher. Measuring 11.5m with a 3.6m beam, Raptor provides the perfect balance of performance, space, and comfort, making her the ideal vessel for both serious sport fishing and relaxed coastal adventures.
